Description
The IEEEXtreme 18.0 competition took place from October 26th to October 27th, with 20 teams and a total of 45 participants. Students from the engineering faculty had the option to stay in a hostel the night before the competition and were provided transportation to the university at 4:00 AM. The event started with a welcome session at 5:00 AM, followed by the official coding start at 5:30 AM. Participants worked on challenges at their own pace and showed great determination, even when faced with minor technical issues. Refreshments like Nescafe, Nestea, and biscuits were available throughout the event, along with scheduled meals and breaks. At check-in, each participant received a name tag and sticker pack. Certificates were awarded to the top three teams during the closing ceremony. Although three teams had to compete virtually due to emergencies, the spirit of teamwork and commitment was strong. Overall, IEEEXtreme 18.0 successfully highlighted coding skills and collaboration.

5:00 AM – Competition Begins Welcome and introduction session, where the rules and guidelines will be shared. 5:30 AM – Official Start of Coding The IEEEXtreme 18.0 competition begins. Teams can start working on their problems. 8:30 AM – Breakfast Participants can take a short break to grab breakfast. From 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM– Lunch Break Note: Participants need to arrange their own lunch. 5:00 PM – Refreshment Break Refreshments will be provided for participants. 8:00 PM– Dinner Dinner will be served, giving participants another chance to recharge. October 27th: 3:00 AM – Refreshment Break A late-night snack to keep participants energized. 5:30 AM – End of Competition The coding competition officially concludes. All work must be submitted. 5:30 AM - 6:00 AM – Awarding Ceremony Announcement of winners and closing remarks. Nescafe, Nestea and biscuits were available throughout the competition, providing refreshments for participants. Additionally, a carrom board was set up from 8:30 PM for participants to enjoy some relaxation and social interaction.
