On September 7, 2024, IEEE Y2NPro hosted the fifth webinar in their Battery Technology and Charging Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles Workshop Series. Held virtually from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. IST, the session was organized by IEEE YPSL, with IEEE YP as the cosponsor. Titled “Electrical Vehicle Charging Infrastructures: From the Scenario to the Impacts and Integration with Electrical Power Systems and ICTs,” the event featured Prof. Giambattista Gruosso, an Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano and Vice-Chair of the IEEE Italy Section. Prof. Gruosso, a senior IEEE member with expertise in smart mobility, smart grids, and industry 4.0, shared his knowledge on the integration of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructures with power systems and information and communication technologies (ICTs). His presentation provided valuable insights into the future of EV management and the impacts of charging infrastructure on electrical systems. The event drew 47 participants, including 15 IEEE members and 32 guests, who engaged in an interactive discussion on the technological and systemic challenges of EV charging infrastructure. IEEE Y2NPro continues to facilitate cutting-edge webinars, offering valuable insights into the evolving fields of battery technology and EV infrastructure.
