On September 14, 2024 , IEEE Y2NPro hosted the seventh webinar in their Battery Technology and Charging Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles Workshop Series. Held virtually from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. IST, the session was organized by IEEE YPSL, with IEEE YP as the co-sponsor. Titled “ Battery Management System, ” the event featured Prof. Xiaosong Hu , a Fellow of IEEE and a Professor at Chongqing University, China. Prof. Hu, a renowned expert in alternative powertrains and energy storage systems, shared his insights on the latest advancements in Battery Management Systems (BMS). His presentation covered critical aspects of BMS design, modeling, and control strategies, emphasizing the role of efficient battery management in enhancing the performance and longevity of electric vehicle batteries. The session attracted 47 participants, including 15 IEEE members and 32 guests, who engaged in a stimulating discussion on the future of battery technology. IEEE Y2NPro continues to offer informative webinars, providing participants with access to leading experts in the fields of battery technology and EV infrastructure.
