On September 22, 2024 , IEEE Y2NPro hosted the ninth webinar in their Battery Technology and Charging Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles Workshop Series. Held virtually from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. IST, the session was organized by IEEE YPSL, with IEEE YP as the cosponsor. Titled “ Design and Control of Residential EV Chargers, ” the event featured Prof. Atif Iqbal , a Senior Member of IEEE and an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at Qatar University. Prof. Iqbal, an expert in power electronics and renewable energy systems, shared his extensive knowledge on the design and control strategies for residential electric vehicle chargers. His presentation focused on optimizing the efficiency and integration of EV chargers into home energy systems, drawing from his vast research experience in power electronic converters and solar photovoltaic systems. The event drew 47 participants, including 15 IEEE members and 32 guests, who engaged in a lively discussion on the future of residential EV charging infrastructure. IEEE Y2NPro continues to offer high-value webinars, connecting professionals with thought leaders in the fields of battery technology and electric vehicle infrastructure.
