Mr. Aniston Leo shared insights on “Planting the Engineering First Mindset,” discussing the importance of prioritizing engineering principles to drive innovation and scalability in solutions. His session also covered Virtusa's approach to marketing this mindset, highlighting how it strengthens the company’s brand and client relationships. Mr. Laksiri Balasuriya expanded on this foundation by exploring the broad career opportunities within the IT field, offering students a comprehensive view of potential career paths, from software engineering to data science, and emphasizing the need for continuous upskilling to remain competitive. The visit was highly interactive, including a hands-on case study session that allowed students to apply their problem-solving skills to real-world business scenarios. This practical exercise provided valuable experience, reinforcing the importance of an engineering-first approach and giving students a taste of how Virtusa creatively addresses pressing industry needs. By the end of the visit, students left feeling inspired by the company’s inclusive, innovative culture and motivated to pursue careers in IT, with Virtusa’s diverse environment presenting a compelling pathway for their professional growth.
