IEEE Student Branch of SLTC – November Meeting Summary

Description
The chair of the IEEE WIE SB AG of SLTC began the meeting by stating the preparations for InspiHER{Tech}v3.0. She specially highlighted the status of the project proposal and the sponsorship hunting plan. Then, plans for upcoming school project was also discussed. Next, the chair of the CS SB Chapter provided an update on the finalization of the CyberCon finance report and the preparation of the vTools of GitGenius. The plans and preparation status of their new project, Codemania, were also discussed. Then IEEE IES SBC shared the successful conclusion of the IEEE IES Day celebration and the status of the vTools and finance reports. Next, he shared the preparation status of their upcoming projects: Silicon Pulse, the Analog Design Program, and Nexora, the Embedded Design Project Competition planned for December. Next, IEEE IAS SBC shared the preparation status and plans for their upcoming project - Venturify, which, in collaboration with the IEEE SLIIT IAS SBC. The treasurer of the student branch gave updates on received finance reports, and deadlines for the remaining reports. Then, the secretary of the student branch gave updates on reports and documentation, including vTools submissions, document updates, and upcoming vTool report deadlines. The SB webmaster then discussed the preparations for developing the official SLTC IEEE website, issues with the flyers, and the clashes between event flyers. Lastly, the SB Vice-chair gave updates on deputy subcommittee head positions and issues with the projects’ organizing committees. Overall, the meeting facilitated productive discussions on ongoing projects, upcoming projects, documentation, and website development. Action points were identified, and responsibilities were assigned accordingly.
