Rise Up Mora (RUM) 2024 was an annual event organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Moratuwa, aimed at exposing undergraduates and fresh graduates to industry expectations while helping them adapt and connect with professionals. Spanning from 27th August to 25th September 2024 , Rise Up Mora 2024 consisted of a series of career development sessions focused on: CV Preparation Personality Development LinkedIn profile optimization Communication and Interview skills providing essential guidance for career advancement. The culmination of Rise Up Mora was a series of mock interview sessions, held on 25th September , 2024 at the University of Moratuwa premises, featuring leading industry representatives across all engineering disciplines . Participants had the unique opportunity to engage in real-life interview experiences , received constructive feedback , and top-performing candidates secured job and internship opportunities . The event was a remarkable success , with participation from over 20 leading companies, more than 500 students from the University of Moratuwa taking part in the interview process, and over 1000 interviews . This initiative served as a bridge between academia and the professional world , equipping students with industry insights, networking opportunities, and practical experience to enhance their employability.
