The IEEE Computer Society Student Chapter of the University of Kelaniya successfully organized a STEM Seminar aimed at inspiring school students to explore the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics with 536 students participating. The seminar was conducted by esteemed speakers Dr. Lalitha Liyanage, Dr. Madusha Chandrasena, Dr. Sandeli Kasthuriarachchi, and Prof. Naomal Dias , who shared valuable insights into the importance of STEM education, career pathways, and real-world applications. The session was expertly hosted by Miss. Hirushi Nawanjana , ensuring an engaging and interactive experience for all participants. This initiative provided students with a unique opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of STEM fields. The event was a great success, fostering curiosity and motivation among the young learners.
