January 18, 2025 · 4:00 AM - 10:00 AM @ SLTC Research Building, Padukka, SLTC Research University

Description

InspiHER{Hack Arena} - the final phase of InspiHER{Tech}V3.0 marked the beginning of an exhilarating journey of innovation and teamwork. Held under the meticulous guidance of the organizing committee, the event commenced with an aura of excitement and anticipation. Participants and mentors gathered in high spirits, ready to embark on this challenging yet rewarding endeavor. The competition began with a warm welcome extended by the moderators, whose skillful speeches set the tone for the event. They shared inspiring insights into the competition’s goals, emphasizing its role in fostering creativity, technical excellence, and collaborative problem-solving among the participants. The presence of esteemed members of the organizing committee added a layer of gravitas to the proceedings, highlighting the importance of this event in promoting women’s empowerment in technology. Teams from various universities, including ours, demonstrated their enthusiasm and dedication. In the final selection round, the teams that were chosen included Phoenix, GreenCode, Tech Mavericks, AvengHERs, CrushedBytes, Nexus, Ravenclaw, Pinkcode, StrucTecs, Triple Spark, Binary Blitz, and Tremendous. These talented teams, each comprising three dynamic individuals, were ready to compete and demonstrate their coding prowess. The competition was organized in collaboration with multiple universities, reflecting the spirit of inclusivity and shared growth that InspiHER{Tech}V3.0 embodies. The event aimed to provide a platform for participants to challenge themselves, learn from their peers, and grow as future leaders in technology. The first round of the coding competition spanned three intense hours, testing the competitors’ problem-solving abilities, coding skills, and teamwork under pressure. This phase was conducted under the friendly guidance of the organizing committee, which ensured a smooth and supportive environment for all participants. Members of the RT and Executive committees of WIE (2024/25) played an active role in providing guidance and addressing queries, further enriching the experience for everyone involved. Adding an interactive and reflective element to the event, the scores from the previous phases of InspiHER{Tech}V3.0 namely, InspiHER{CAD Challenge} and InspiHER{Byte Battle}—were displayed on the screen during the midpoint of the competition. This not only motivated the participants but also highlighted the holistic and multi-phase approach of the initiative. The first half of the competition concluded with the participants’ determination undeterred and their spirits high. A one-hour lunch break provided a much-needed pause, allowing competitors to recharge and regroup for the upcoming phases. The organizing committee ensured that the break was comfortable and enjoyable, creating opportunities for informal interactions among participants, mentors, and organizers. Post-lunch, the competition resumed, and the teams showcased their tireless dedication and adaptability. The intensity and camaraderie among participants were palpable as they tackled increasingly complex challenges, demonstrating their mettle and innovative thinking. The event concluded on a triumphant note, with the 03rd Phase: InspiHER{Hack Arena} - Coding Competition achieving its goals of inspiring, engaging, and challenging participants. The success of this phase was a testament to the collective efforts of the organizing committee, the WIE Executive and RT members, and the enthusiastic participants. This coding competition not only underscored the participants’ technical expertise but also celebrated their resilience, creativity, and collaborative spirit. The InspiHER{Tech}V3.0 initiative continues to pave the way for greater inclusion and recognition of women in technology, setting new benchmarks with each phase.
