IEEE Student Branch of SLTC – January Meeting Summary

Description
The meeting commenced with the IEEE WIE SB AG providing an update on the successful completion of InspiHER{Tech} V3.0, including its final phase and closing ceremony held on 18th January 2025. Additionally, updates were shared regarding the status of VTools reports and finance reports for the event. Following this, the preparations for their upcoming project, TechnoVenus, aimed at empowering Advanced Level female school students, were discussed. Next, IEEE IES SBC provided an update on the prize distribution for the winners of Silicon Pulse, which concluded successfully in January 2025. They also shared updates on the preparation of financial reports for the event. Subsequently, IEEE CS SBC presented an update on their upcoming project, Codemania V5.0, scheduled for 2nd February 2025. After that, IEEE IAS SBC provided updates on Venturify, a collaboration with SLIIT IAS, scheduled for 2nd February 2025. Following all the updates from the chapters, the Student Branch officers began their reports. The SB webmaster discussed the developing status of the official SLTC IEEE website. The SB Treasurer and SB Secretary provided updates on the financial reports and VTools reports, respectively. Furthermore, the SB Secretary mentioned the submission of the Annual Plan for 2025 on VTools. Finally, the SB Chairperson concluded the meeting by requesting monthly meetings for all sub-OUs and ensuring they are reported on VTools on every month. Key action items from the meeting include ensuring the timely submission of VTools and finance reports for InspiHER{Tech} V3.0, continuing the preparations for TechnoVenus with progress updates in the next meeting, completing and submitting the financial reports for Silicon Pulse, finalizing arrangements for Codemania V5.0 to ensure a smooth execution, and implementing monthly meetings for all sub-OUs with consistent reporting on VTools.
