Codemania v5.0, the fifth edition of the 12-hour coding hackathon organized by the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of Sri Lanka Technological Campus, took place on the 2nd of February 2025. The closing and awarding ceremony commenced with the arrival of the guests. To begin, a video recap of the 12-hour hackathon was played, showcasing the intense coding competition, the participants' experiences, and how they tackled the challenges throughout the event. Following the video, the Chief Guest, Mrs. R.G.C. Upeksha, Head of the Department of Software Engineering in the Faculty of Computing and IT at Sri Lanka Technology Campus, delivered a speech. She emphasized the importance of hands-on coding experiences, problem-solving, and teamwork in shaping the future of technology. She highlighted how competitions like Codemania enhance technical skills, encourage collaboration, and foster creativity. She commended the organizing committee for their dedication and encouraged them to continue hosting such impactful events. She also extended her best wishes to all the participants. The awarding ceremony then commenced with great anticipation. The top three teams were announced first, receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience. They were presented with cash prizes as a token of appreciation for their outstanding performance. Their teamwork, dedication, creativity, and problem-solving skills were evident throughout the competition, making them truly deserving of the recognition. Following this, the top 10 teams were also acknowledged for their hard work and perseverance. Each of them was awarded a certificate of achievement, highlighting their efforts and contributions. The organizers took a moment to appreciate their commitment and passion, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and innovation in such competitions. The atmosphere was filled with pride and excitement as participants celebrated their accomplishments and shared their experiences. To conclude the ceremony, the Project Secretary delivered the vote of thanks. She expressed deep gratitude to the Chief Guest, Mrs. R.G.C. Upeksha, the executive committee for their guidance, the organizing committee for their dedication, and the participants for their enthusiasm. Special appreciation was given to the sponsors, who supported the event. The moderators were also acknowledged for their efforts to maintain energy and engagement throughout the event.
