The IEEE Student Branch hosted an Executive Committee Meetup to facilitate a smooth transition between former and new executives. Representatives from PES, IES, CS, and WIE chapters participated in the discussions, which focused on strategic planning for upcoming events and operational guidelines. Date: 18th January 2025 Location: University Of Sri Jayewardhenepura Organized by: IEEE Student Branch USJ Participating Chapters: PES, IES, CS, WIE Key Discussions: Expedition 2025 – Selection of the event chair, discussion on potential speakers, and venue selection. PES Event Discussion – Planning upcoming activities and initiatives for PES. Lead’25 Event Discussion – Initial discussions on event objectives, structure, and execution. Event Flyer Guidelines – Setting design and content standards for promotional materials. IEEE Awards & Grants – Awareness session on available opportunities and application processes. Outcome & Next Steps: Responsibilities were assigned for event planning. Further meetings will be scheduled to refine event details. A framework for flyer design was established. Executives will explore IEEE awards and grants for funding opportunities.
