To celebrate Women's Day 2025, an informative webinar was organized in collaboration with the IEEE Power & Energy Society Student Branch Chapter and the IEEE WIE Affinity Group of University of Moratuwa. The event focused on the theme "Empowering Yourself as a Woman in Engineering." The webinar was held on the 8th of March, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8.00PM. It was conducted by Dr.Thushara Rathnayaka, who is Senior Lecturer, University of Moratuwa, and she is currently working as the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board. We were truly grateful for her presence, as she generously shared her valuable insights and experiences with the younger generation. The webinar highlighted that being a woman is not a barrier to empowerment in engineering. Women have the potential to make a significant impact in the field. The primary goal of the event was to inspire and motivate women in engineering. The session concluded successfully with an engaging Q&A segment.
