IEEE Volunteer Training Series – Designer Training Session Design is more than just aesthetics; it's about crafting experiences that captivate, engage, and inspire. As part of the IEEE Volunteer Training Series, the Designer Training Session took participants on an immersive journey into the world of UI/UX design, branding, and graphic design. Guiding this transformative session was Mr. Naveen Buddhika Nanayakkara, a seasoned UI/UX Designer with over a decade of expertise in branding, consulting, UI/UX design, and graphic design. His insights set a new benchmark for creativity and innovation among attendees. Held on 28th January 2025, from 7.00 PM to 10.00 PM, at the Technology Lecture Hall 1, Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka, the session delved into: Fundamentals of Design – Engaging discussions on the core principles that shape compelling visual narratives. UI/UX Career Pathways – A deep dive into the dynamic opportunities in the field of UI/UX design. Hands-On Competition – Participants put their learnings to the test in a design challenge, where they received guidelines and materials to craft their own creations. The Top 10 Designers were recognized with certificates for their outstanding work.
