Meeting Title : IEEE Sri Lanka Section - CAS CEDA Joint Chapter - Annual General Meeting 2025 Date : 2025/02/17 Time : 8.00 PM Venue : Online (Zoom) Welcome The attendees were welcome by the Interim Chair of IEEE Sri Lanka Section - CAS CEDA Joint Chapter Dr. Achintha Kondarage. Election Results The Elections Chair of IEEE Sri Lanka Section - CAS CEDA Joint Chapter Dr. Subodha Charles briefed the election process and introduced the applicants. Nominations have been received for the positions of Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. Since there were no multiple nominations, the nominated candidates were appointed for the aforesaid positions. The nominations were opened for the positions; Assistant Secretary, Editor, Student-YP Coordinator, Events Coordinator and the Industry Coordinator. For the position of Student-YP Coordinator, Viraj Ariyawansha was nominated by Dr. Achintha Kondarage and Seconded by Mr. Kavinga Upul. Since there were no other nominations, after obtaining the consent from the candidate, he was appointed as the Student-YP Coordinator. Appointments of the Committee members were as follows. The Immediate Past-Chair of IEEE Sri Lanka Section, Mr. Dhammika Marasinghe addressed the audience briefly, highlighting the importance of establishing the chapter and opportunities for collaboration. Activity Plan Dr. Achintha Kondarage, the newly appointed chair, presented the activity plan for the year 2025 which included; Workshop on Analog IC Design (Focusing on UNIC-CASS) Workshop on Digital IC Design (Focusing on UNIC-CASS) Industry Talk - Introduction to EDA Industry Industry - DAta Structures and Algorithms for EDA tool development Webinar under the CEDA Virtual Distinguished Lecture Program DL or Workshop for MerCon Conference. Sri Lanka Chips Challenge Vote of thanks Ms. Warunika Hippola, newly appointed Secretary, delivered the vote of thanks appreciating the elections chair, interim chair, the newly appointed executive committee and the participants.
