The Annual General Meeting of the IEEE Women in Engineering Student Branch Affinity Group at the University of Peradeniya was successfully held on January 15, 2025, at the Seminar Room of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The event featured a review of the previous term’s activities, followed by a vote of thanks to the outgoing committee for their valuable contributions. The new office bearers were introduced to take on responsibilities for the upcoming term. Professor Maheshi Dissanayake, Advisor of the IEEE WIE SB AG, addressed the gathering, highlighting key achievements and outlining expectations for the year ahead. Professor Vijitha Herath, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, also delivered a speech, commending the group’s efforts and encouraging continued excellence.
