Event Overview: LeadX'25 was an intensive leadership training program organized for the Executive Board and Standing Committees of the IEEE Student Branch at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The event focused on enhancing leadership, event management, financial handling, marketing, and logistics skills to prepare members for effectively managing IEEE initiatives. Date: 2025.01.25 Venue: Zoology Department, University of Sri Jayewardenepura Objectives: ● Provide a comprehensive understanding of IEEE, its opportunities, and membership benefits. ● Train members on financial management, logistics, and event planning. ● Introduce IEEE reporting tools such as V-Tools. ● Enhance public visibility and branding of IEEE activities. ● Strengthen teamwork, volunteer management, and leadership skills. (By Haritha Madayanake) ● About IEEE – Introduction to IEEE, its mission, and global impact. ● IEEE Opportunities – Conferences, technical communities, networking, and career growth. ● Membership – Benefits of IEEE membership and different membership categories. ● Scholarships – Funding and scholarship opportunities available for IEEE members. ● Branch Structure – Explanation of different positions within the branch. ● Officer Introduction – Roles and responsibilities of key office bearers. ● Event OC Structure – Organizing committees for different events. ● Members Introduction – Introduction of new members and their roles. 2. Chapters & Chapter Funds (By Lavindu Perera) ● Understanding IEEE Chapters – Role of chapters in professional and technical development. ● Chapter Funds – Financial management, fund allocation, and sponsorship strategies. 3. V-Tools Session (By Sandaru Senitha) ● V-Tools Overview – How to use V-Tools for IEEE event reporting. ● Reporting & Documentation – Best practices for maintaining accurate records. 4. Public Visibility & Marketing (By Heshani Maddage) ● IEEE Branding & Marketing – Strategies for increasing IEEE’s public reach. ● Social Media Promotions – Effective promotion of IEEE events via Facebook and other platforms. (A more detailed marketing session was scheduled for a later date.) 5. Finance & Budgeting , Logistics Management , Volunteer Management (By Menura Basitha) ● Finance Management – Budgeting, financial planning, and handling expenses. ● Sponsor Sheet – How to prepare effective sponsorship proposals. ● Past Event Financial Review – Presentation of financial details from previous events. (A detailed finance management session was scheduled for a later date.) ● Logistics Sheet – How to manage logistics effectively. ● Booking Procedures – Guidelines for booking venues and transport. ● Point System – A structured way to track volunteer contributions and recognize efforts. 6.
