As part of our initiative to bridge the gap between academia and the tech industry, the IEEE WIE Affinity Group of the University of Kelaniya successfully organized an insightful Industry Visit to WSO2 , Sri Lanka’s leading technology company. This visit provided an incredible platform for students to network with industry leaders, gain exposure to corporate environments, and understand current trends in software engineering, product development, and digital transformation. The visit to WSO2 offered participants a deep understanding of cutting-edge enterprise solutions and open-source development. Mr. Yashod Perera, Associate Technical Lead at WSO2, shared meaningful insights into career development and the wide range of opportunities in the tech industry. Participants were introduced to WSO2’s innovative products like Asgardeo, Choreo, and Ballerina by Mr. Tharik Kanaka, Senior Technical Lead, providing a comprehensive look into the future of integration, identity, and programming languages.
