IEEE Open Week 2025, hosted by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Moratuwa , in collaboration with its chapters and the affinity group, kicked off the term with great enthusiasm and success. The event introduced undergraduates of the university, especially fresh undergraduates, to IEEE, the IEEE Student Branch, and its community . One of the key goals of Open Week was to promote IEEE membership and its benefits to the undergraduates. The Open Week set a vibrant foundation for the year ahead and fostered stronger connections within the university community. 🔵 DAY 02 | Chapter & Affinity Group Day | 11th March 2025 The second Day brought together the technical chapters and the affinity group of the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Moratuwa. The participating entities included the Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group and the following IEEE technical chapters: Industry Applications Society (IAS), Industrial Electronics Society (IES), Computer Society (CS), Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), Power & Energy Society (PES), Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS), Signal Processing Society (SPS), Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society (NPSS), Technology and Engineering Management Society (TEMS), and Communications Society (ComSoc) . The event was held at the Old Gymnasium, University of Moratuwa, where each chapter and the affinity group hosted dedicated stalls. These stalls showcased their unique initiatives, research domains, and opportunities for student engagement and professional development.
