Transportation and Logistics Industry: The Role of Freight Transportation & Logistics Systems as a Catalyst for Enhanced Quality of Life The IEEE Women in Engineering Student Branch Affinity Group of the University of Moratuwa successfully conducted the second session of ENGINUITY 2.0 in April 2025. This session featured an insightful talk by Mr. Priyan Pituwelgoda , Senior Executive – Factory Supply Chain at Nestlé Lanka Ltd and President of CILT Sri Lanka Next Generation. With a strong background in Transport and Logistics Management, Mr. Pituwelgoda shared his expertise on how freight transportation and logistics systems serve as catalysts for enhancing quality of life. The session offered valuable industry insights, drawing from real-world logistics operations and leadership experiences. Participants gained a broader understanding of how efficient supply chains impact daily living standards and contribute to national development. The event was well received, sparking thoughtful questions and meaningful discussions among the participants, and served as a source of inspiration for those aspiring to pursue careers in logistics and supply chain management.
