The IEEE Annual General Meeting 2025 of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University was convened to formally conclude the activities of the 2024/25 term and to welcome the newly appointed leadership for the 2025/26 term. The proceedings featured the participation of the IEEE Student Branch, the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Student Branch Affinity Group, and the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter. Each entity presented its respective annual activity and budget reports, delivered by the outgoing Secretaries and Treasurers. These reports reflected a year of impactful initiatives encompassing professional development, technical advancement, community outreach, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The outgoing Chairperson of the IEEE Student Branch delivered the welcome address and formally handed over leadership responsibilities to the incoming committee. The IEEE WIE Affinity Group reflected on a year dedicated to empowering women in engineering, with the outgoing team expressing gratitude for the collective efforts that contributed to the group's continued growth and success. The IEEE Computer Society Chapter highlighted key achievements, including successful joint technical events. A significant milestone was marked with the official launch of the chapter’s dedicated website. A formal badge ceremony was held to officially recognize the newly elected Executive Committees and Standing Committee Heads of all three bodies. These appointments, finalized in advance, were honored in the presence of distinguished guests. The event was graced by Prof. S. Vasanthapriyan, Chair of the IEEE Sri Lanka Section, who served as the Chief Guest and delivered the keynote address. The AGM also featured the IEEEXtreme 18.0 Awards Ceremony, recognizing the top three high-performing coding teams from KDU. Tokens of appreciation were also presented to outgoing committee members for their dedication and hard work. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the newly appointed Secretary of the IEEE Student Branch of KDU, marking the beginning of a new term of service.
