The IEEE Student Branch of SLIIT held its Annual General Meeting on 13th February 2025 at the SLIIT New Academic Building, formally marking the transition to the 2025/2026 term. New office bearers and committee members for the upcoming term were appointed thus ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities to new leadership. The meeting began with traditional ceremonies and a welcome address by the outgoing Chair, followed by the presentation and confirmation of the previous meeting’s minutes and financial report. Key addresses were delivered by IEEE Sri Lanka Section representatives and university officials. The new Executive Committee, led by Chairperson Mahdy Abdullah Nawfar, was formally appointed, alongside editorial, finance, logistics, and chapter committees. Awards were presented to recognize volunteer contributions, and a recap video showcased the past year's achievements. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by the incoming Secretary.
