The Annual General Meeting of the IEEE Uva Wellassa University Student Branch for the term 2024/2025 was successfully held on the 29th of April 2025 at the Technology Lecture Theatre, Uva Wellassa University. The event marked a significant transition in leadership and celebrated the achievements of the past year while laying the foundation for the year ahead. The SB chair welcomed all the members, updated members on completed projects, awards received, and progress made, followed by the Secretary delivering the meeting minutes. The SB Treasurer presented the budget report for the term. This was followed by the official appointment of the new Main Committee, with appointment letters ceremoniously handed over by the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences. The outgoing Chairperson delivered a heartfelt address reflecting on the term’s milestones, succeeded by a speech from the Dean, who commended the branch’s efforts. After a brief intermission, the Chapter and Affinity Group Committees were appointed, with letters presented by the Student Branch Counsellor and relevant advisors. Next, an inspiring address was delivered by the newly appointed Chairperson. The Section Student Representative, Ms. Joshiga Ravikumar, and the Student Branch Counsellor then shared their insights and words of encouragement. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the new Secretary, leaving members anticipating the next term's progress.
