The IEEE Student Branch of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka successfully held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the year 2025 on the 13th of February via Zoom. The meeting commenced at 6:17 PM, moderated by Nicola. The session began with a warm welcome and a presentation of the Annual Report for the 2023/2024 term by outgoing Chairperson Mr. Thisira Jayasekara , highlighting key accomplishments of the past year. The previous meeting minutes, presented by former Secretary Mr. Krishnakishore Valethanchan , were unanimously approved by attendees. Following this, Mr. Abrar Munawfer presented and obtained approval for the financial report and budget. The highlight of the evening was the appointment of the Executive Committee for the 2024/2025 term , including: Chairperson: Pramod Rajapaksha Secretary: Keran Shama Vimalan Vice Chair: Sachiththa Athukorala Assistant Secretary: Oshara Ranasinghe Treasurer: Ashfak Sazni Leadership appointments for various sub-teams such as Design, Web, Content, Publicity, and Finance were also announced. The newly appointed Chairperson Mr. Pramod Rajapaksha delivered an inspiring speech outlining his vision for the year ahead. The event also featured a motivational address by Dr. Hemantha Kulathilaka and a recap video highlighting the branch’s impactful journey over the past term. The meeting concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the new Secretary Keran Shama . This AGM marked a new beginning for the IEEE Student Branch, setting a strong foundation for innovation, collaboration, and continued excellence.
