Awrudu With IEEE 2025 Event Date: 16 May 2025 Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Venue: University Ground Premises, University of Sri Jayewardenepura Organized by: IEEE Student Branch – University of Sri Jayewardenepura Description: The IEEE Student Branch of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura organized the “IEEE Awrudu Celebrations 2025” on May 16, 2025, from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM at the university ground premises. This physical event is to celebrate the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, bringing together IEEE members and students in a joyful and culturally rich atmosphere. The event featured a variety of traditional New Year games including kotta pora , kana mutti bindeema , tug of war, musical hats and more. These games encouraged participation, teamwork, and fun among all attendees. The event also included traditional music, refreshments, and decorations that showcased Sri Lankan heritage. This celebration served as a great opportunity to promote unity, cultural awareness, and member engagement within the IEEE community. The event witnessed active participation, laughter, and fellowship throughout the day.
