The IEEE Student Branch of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura successfully hosted an engaging hybrid session as a part of the Beauty of Cloud initiative. The introductory session on AWS Amplify Gen 2 happened on 24th May 2025 at the University premises , with online participation via Zoom. The event featured Mr. Chameera Dulanga and Mr. Lakindu Hewawasam, an industry professional and AWS Community Builder, as the esteemed guest speaker, whose in-depth knowledge and dynamic presentation style captivated an audience of over 50 participants. Mr. Dulanga’s clear and compelling insights into the fundamentals and Mr. Lakindu's hands-on session enriched the technical understanding of attendees and sparked enthusiastic discussions during the interactive scenario-based activities and the Q&A segment. This session marked a successful start to our series of tech talks, which aims to empower students with cloud computing knowledge.
