The IEEE NPSS Student Chapter of the University of Moratuwa launched its Fusion Frontiers Nuclear Science Seminar Series with a compelling first webinar titled “Resilient Nuclear Renewable Hybrid Energy Systems” . Held on April 4, 2025, at 6:00 PM IST via Zoom , the session was led by Dr. Hossam A. Gabbar , Professor of Energy and Nuclear Engineering at Ontario Tech University, Canada. Dr. Gabbar shared advanced insights into hybrid energy systems that integrate nuclear power with renewable energy sources to enhance resilience, efficiency, and sustainability in modern energy infrastructures.
