The MoraForesight 3.0 Online Awareness Session, organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Moratuwa, was successfully held via Zoom with the participation of over 350 attendees from across the island. The session served as a comprehensive introduction to the MoraForesight initiative, aiming to inspire students to think ahead and shape the future through innovation and foresight. The session was hosted by the MoraForesight 3.0 organizing team and focused on introducing the concept behind MoraForesight—an initiative designed to identify and empower future-forward thinkers within the university community. Attendees were given an overview of the IEEE Student Branch and the impact it has made through past initiatives. Recaps of the successful MoraForesight 1.0 and 2.0 editions highlighted the legacy and growth of the platform over the years. Participants were also briefed on the eligibility criteria, structure, and immense value of taking part in MoraForesight, including opportunities for personal growth, leadership development, and industry-level exposure. A special segment led by Geethma Pieris, Lead of the Selection Committee, offered detailed insights into the selection process, helping participants better prepare for the journey ahead. Additionally, ideas and testimonials from a few past MoraForesight participants added depth and motivation to the session. A Q&A session was held towards the end, allowing attendees to clarify their doubts and gain a deeper understanding of the initiative. The event concluded with a speech by the Event Chairman, Anujaya Vidmal, who emphasized and encouraged attendees to join the MoraForesight 3.0 journey. Overall, the awareness session served as a powerful curtain-raiser for MoraForesight 3.0, sparking enthusiasm and curiosity among all attendees.
