The first on-site workshop of the Future Innovators Challenge 2025 (FInnC’25) was successfully held at the University of Moratuwa premises , organized by the IEEE Student Branch in collaboration with the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Student Branch Chapter . The workshop was conducted by RoboticGen , the official educational partner for FInnC’25. The session began with a welcome by the host , followed by a welcome speech from the Chairman of the Student Branch, Mr. Sanjula Gathsara . The session focused on Prototyping IoT Devices , offering participants practical insights into sensor integration, device design, and real-world applications. Mr. Odil Janandith (CTO, RoboticGen) and Mr. Sahas Eashan (Research Associate, RoboticGen Labs) led the expert session, followed by a dynamic Q&A segment . A special Kahoot quiz added an interactive element, with NodeMCU boards awarded to the top three winners. The session concluded with a token of appreciation presented by Mr. Didula Samaraweera , and a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Nimeth Wickramaarachchi , event co-chairperson of FInnC’25.
