The IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Student Branch Affinity Group of Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the IEEE WIE Sri Lanka Section, successfully organized a career guidance session titled “WiSTEM” on 5th June 2025 at Holy Angels Girls' College – Kuliyapitiya, commencing at 8.30 a.m. The session aimed to inspire and guide young female students to explore educational and career opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). It featured insightful discussions, interactive activities, and motivational talks that emphasized the importance of female representation in STEM fields. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 200 students, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere. Through this initiative, students were empowered with knowledge, encouragement, and direction to envision themselves as future leaders and innovators. The session also fostered a strong sense of mentorship and community among the participants, supporting the growth of a more inclusive STEM ecosystem.
