🌊 Wisdom Waves 1.0 Wisdom Waves is an inspiring monthly webinar series organized by the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group of the University of Ruhuna, in collaboration with other IEEE chapters. The initiative is designed to promote mentorship, learning, and inter-chapter collaboration across the IEEE community. The series aims to spark insightful discussions and provide a platform for knowledge sharing between: Final-year students Graduates in the field Undergraduate students By fostering mentorship and open dialogue, Wisdom Waves creates an inclusive environment that supports growth, leadership, and peer learning. Objectives: Knowledge Sharing Deliver expert insights on relevant, trending, and impactful topics in technology, innovation, and career development. Inspiration & Motivation Share success stories, challenges, and professional experiences to motivate students and early-career professionals. Inter-Chapter Collaboration Strengthen ties between IEEE chapters through joint sessions, shared resources, and unified learning goals. Community Building Develop a network of like-minded individuals who can support each other’s academic and professional journeys. Enhanced Engagement Encourage interaction through Q&A sessions, discussions, and real-world case studies for deeper understanding. Collaborative Learning Enable final-year students to guide juniors with advice on academics, career paths, internships, and leadership, while undergraduates gain valuable real-world exposure and direction.
