The Connect with CS which is an awareness session on IEEE Computer Society was successfully organized by the IEEE Computer Society Student Chapter of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka on April 5th, 2025, via Zoom. This session aimed to introduce students to the vision, mission, and vast opportunities offered by the IEEE Computer Society, encouraging active membership and engagement in professional development activities. The session featured a distinguished guest speaker: Prof. Anuradha Jayakody, Senior Member of IEEE, Past Chair of the IEEE Computer Society Sri Lanka Chapter, and ExCo Member of the IEEE Sri Lanka Section (Membership Development). He provided valuable insights into the role of the IEEE CS in fostering innovation, professional growth, and collaboration among computing professionals. His experience and guidance inspired students to explore pathways within the IEEE ecosystem. This event also served as an interactive platform for students to clarify their doubts, understand the benefits of IEEE CS membership, and learn about upcoming initiatives by the IEEE Computer Society Student Chapter of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
