Career Compass Session – January 25, 2025 The IEEE Student Branch of Wayamba University of Sri Lanka successfully conducted the North Western Province Career Compass Session on January 25, 2025, at the university premises in Kuliyapitiya. This impactful outreach initiative was tailored for school students in Grades 9, 10, and 11, with the aim of helping them explore potential career directions and make informed academic decisions. The session was led by undergraduates of Wayamba University, creating a relatable and inspiring learning experience. Participants were introduced to a wide range of educational pathways, including available degree programs, university admission processes, subject selection strategies, and career-aligned courses across various fields. The session provided clarity on how subject choices influence higher education opportunities and future professions. By bridging the gap between school and university, this program empowered students to align their interests with suitable academic and career goals—equipping them with the knowledge to take their next steps confidently.
