Spectrum of Light 2025, organized by the IEEE Student Branch of Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, was held from May 10 to May 23 to celebrate the Vesak Festival. Open to all undergraduates, this unique photography competition provided a platform to express creativity and cultural appreciation through two categories: Natural Photography, capturing the traditional beauty of Vesak, and AI-Generated Images, showcasing innovation through artificial intelligence tools. Participants submitted a range of stunning entries, with winners selected under Best Photograph (by expert judges) and Most Popular Photograph (via Facebook reactions). The event beautifully combined tradition and technology, encouraging artistic exploration and celebrating the festival’s essence through the lens of youth creativity.
