A virtual Zoom meeting was held to officially welcome and brief the newly appointed Standing Committee of the IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The session included introductions of the Executive Committee and Standing Committee members, presentation of the year plan, and a detailed discussion on the upcoming January event, PowerPact , scheduled for 28th January from 3.00 PM to 6.00 PM at Trace City. Key points included planning logistics, budget allocations , expected guest speakers, sponsorship opportunities with two potential companies, and event promotion strategies. The meeting also addressed transport arrangements from the university to the venue, proposed food stalls at the University collaborating with Student Branch , and clearly outlined the roles and responsibilities of the Standing Committee.
