The IEEE Student Branch of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka successfully hosted a full-day technical workshop titled “From Linux to Kubernetes: Navigating the DevOps Journey” on June 6, 2025 at the ICT Interactive Theatre , Faculty of Technology. The session began with an introduction to Linux fundamentals , including command-line operations and scripting basics. The focus then shifted to containerization with Docker , followed by deep insights into Kubernetes , the industry-standard platform for container orchestration. Participants received practical demonstrations and real-world scenarios illustrating how developers and DevOps teams utilize these tools to build and manage scalable, reliable applications. The hands-on nature of the session allowed students to gain both theoretical understanding and practical exposure. The workshop concluded with an engaging Q&A session and a photo to commemorate the collaborative learning experience.
