AI and Satellite-Driven Health Forecasting was a collaborative event organized by the IEEE ComSoc Student Chapter and the IEEE Women in Engineering Student Branch Affinity Group of the University of Peradeniya. The session, held at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, featured Dr. Thilanka Munasinghe, who discussed the use of Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) and NASA satellite data to predict dengue outbreaks across Sri Lanka. The event brought together undergraduates, lecturers, and professionals to explore how emerging technologies can transform public health through AI and space-based insights.
