On 11th June 2025, an online workshop titled 'Advanced Recon & Exploitation' was conducted as part of the lead-up to Red Cypher 2.0. This session was designed to equip students with in-depth cybersecurity techniques and prepare them for the final Capture The Flag competition. The workshop focused on advanced reconnaissance methods and exploitation tactics, creating a realistic cyber arena for participants to test their skills. PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP • Provide students with hands-on knowledge in advanced reconnaissance and exploitation. • Prepare participants for real-world scenarios and the Red Cypher 2.0 competition. • Enhance students' understanding of ethical hacking techniques and tools. • Introduce practical cybersecurity approaches used in industry. KEY HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WORKSHOP • Interactive live hacking demonstrations and walkthroughs. • In-depth explanation of recon and exploitation techniques. • Real-world scenario simulations. • Engaged students with hands-on examples and Q&A sessions. EVENT OUTCOMES • Participants gained exposure to advanced cybersecurity tools and practices. • Increased confidence in ethical hacking among attendees. • Developed practical knowledge applicable to the final Red Cypher 2.0 competition. • Improved understanding of real-world cybersecurity threat models.
