Description

The IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group Executive Committee meeting was successfully conducted by the Main ExCom of the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Ruhuna. The session focused on outlining the annual plan with a special emphasis on empowerment initiatives, mentorship programs, and gender equity-focused events. And also, the new initiatives yet to be carried out in the Affinity Group was thoroughly discussed and Executive roles were introduced and clarified to ensure an effective and inclusive working environment. This meeting also helped the volunteers and executive committee members to build valuable networks, increase their confidence in organizing impactful events, and foster inclusivity in leadership roles.
