මංපෙත 2025 is a flagship educational outreach initiative organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Ruhuna , aimed at inspiring and guiding A/L students from the Physical Science stream across the Galle District . The core vision of the project is to bridge the gap between school-level education and university-level engineering exposure . The event, scheduled for the second week of September 2025 , will immerse students in a full-day interactive experience at the Faculty of Engineering , University of Ruhuna. Activities include: A formal introduction to university life and various engineering disciplines. A guided tour through key engineering departments: Civil, Electrical, Computer, and Mechanical. Interactive sessions with IEEE volunteers and academic staff. A structured Q&A to help students explore career pathways in STEM. With an expected participation of over 315 students from 8 schools , the event will not only motivate students toward engineering careers but also enhance school-university relationships and strengthen the IEEE Student Branch’s community engagement footprint. Attendees : Main Executive Committee Members Appointed Manpetha OC Members Outcomes : Volunteers gained clarity on their duties and showed strong enthusiasm to support the project. The session laid a solid foundation for structured execution of Manpetha 2025.
