The fields of Engineering and Information Technology are rapidly evolving, demanding creative and impactful solutions to address modern challenges. As the world becomes increasingly reliant on technology for sustainable development, there is a growing need to empower the next generation of innovators with opportunities to design and implement ideas that can shape the future. INNOVELEC ’25 was launched as a response to this need, a competition designed to spark creativity, encourage collaboration, and promote sustainable technological solutions among university students across Sri Lanka. The event serves as a platform for individuals passionate about innovation, digital advancement, and real-world problem-solving to showcase their concepts and prototypes under two dynamic categories. The event was carried out in two phases, which included 2 online webinars and a physical competition.
