The IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group of Wayamba University of Sri Lanka organized an industrial visit to Vario Systems (Pvt) Ltd, a globally recognized provider of electronic manufacturing services (EMS) on 7th November 2024. A total of 30 undergraduate students along with 3 academic staff members took part in this insightful visit, which aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry practices. The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to the operations of a professional manufacturing facility, understand the workflow in the electronics manufacturing sector, and observe industry-standard processes in real-time. The visit served as an excellent opportunity for students to gain first-hand knowledge of advanced technologies, production systems, quality control, and warehouse management in a globally integrated EMS environment. The team at Vario Systems warmly welcomed the delegation and facilitated an engaging and informative session, allowing students to interact directly with industry professionals and explore potential career pathways in the field of electronics and systems engineering.
