CodeSprint X, the 9th edition of the IEEE Student Branch of IIT’s flagship startup challenge, marked a four-month journey of innovation, collaboration, and determination. What began with Ideate, Prototype, and StartUp phases evolved into Sri Lanka’s first-ever inter-university startup reality show, setting a new benchmark in the national innovation landscape. The journey culminated on July 26th with the Grand Finale, where the top teams took the stage before a live audience and a distinguished panel of industry leaders. In a media-rich, high-stakes environment that mirrored real-world startup accelerators, the finalists showcased their ventures with passion and creativity, turning the event into a true celebration of technopreneurship. Crowning the evening’s efforts, Team ITSELF from the University of Kelaniya emerged as champions, with Team VisuaLit and Team Amor Developers from IIT securing second and third places. Beyond the prizes, the event stood as a testament to the power of perseverance and collaboration, made possible through the unwavering support of IEEE chapters and 25 industry partners. CodeSprint X not only honored its winners but also strengthened the bridge between academia and industry, leaving a lasting mark on Sri Lanka’s startup ecosystem.
