The primary goal of the session was to raise awareness and encourage students to take part in international coding competitions, especially IEEE Xtreme. The event featured an insightful session titled “Coding Competition Awareness Session”, conducted by Mr. Apiram Rajamohan, who secured 2nd place in IEEE Xtreme 17, Sri Lanka During the session, Mr. Rajamohan covered several key areas to help beginners understand and prepare for competitions such as IEEE Xtreme. The following topics were to be discussed: 1. What is coding? 2. What are programming languages? 3. Importance of coding in today’s tech-driven world 4. Basic concepts in coding and how to get started 5. The typical format of coding competitions – including algorithmic challenges, debugging tasks, and real-world logic problems 6.
