IEEE communication society student chapter of UoM organized a datacenter tour for interested undergraduates in the university on 2025.08.14. A total of 30 students participated in the tour. Students explored how data centers like the SLT IDC national data center we visited, manage to deliver an impressive uptime of 99.982% (tier 3) by employing redundancy in power supply, networking and cooling. Many thanks go to the team at SLT who facilitated this guided tour of their datacenter.
