This session was designed as a bridge between academic studies and industry practice, aiming to prepare participants for future career opportunities. The session brought together a panel of interns representing multiple disciplines in the field of Information Technology and Business. The invited speakers were currently working as Software Engineer Interns, Quality Assurance Engineer Interns, Business Analyst Interns, and Project Manager Interns . Each of them shared their unique experiences, challenges, and learning outcomes from their internship journeys. Their insights provided participants with an authentic view of workplace culture, professional responsibilities, and the skill sets required to succeed in the industry. This discussion was particularly valuable to the participants, as it highlighted the need for a balanced combination of hard and soft skills to excel during an internship period. The Software Engineer Interns shared their experiences of working on live projects and handling real-time problem-solving scenarios. They explained how theoretical knowledge gained through academic courses was applied in practice and how working in collaborative development environments enhanced their skills. The Quality Assurance Engineer Interns elaborated on the significance of attention to detail, patience, and analytical thinking in ensuring product quality. They explained the tools and methodologies they used in testing software and the importance of contributing to delivering error-free products to clients. Similarly, the Business Analyst Interns discussed their involvement in requirement gathering, stakeholder communication, and documentation. They explained how effective communication and critical thinking played a vital role in bridging the gap between clients and technical teams.
