The IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Student Branch Chapter at the University of Moratuwa hosted an insightful webinar dedicated to preparing undergraduates for their professional careers on 20 th October 2025. Titled “Industry Readiness and Job Skills,” the event was specifically organized to equip students with the necessary knowledge and tools for successfully securing internships and transitioning into the professional workforce. The webinar was skillfully conducted by Mr. Senarath Buddhasiri, Director of Ceilan Solutions PVT Ltd . Leveraging his extensive experience in the industry, Mr. Buddhasiri provided practical, real-world guidance. He strongly emphasized the necessity of cultivating essential job skills during the undergraduate period. Throughout his presentation, he shared valuable views and personal experiences concerning vital career topics, including effective resume writing, strategies for successful job interviews, and techniques for strong self-presentation. The session fostered active participation, with attendees engaging enthusiastically.
