The EMBED X workshop, organized by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Student Branch Chapter of SLIIT, was successfully held to equip participants with hands-on knowledge in embedded systems and robotics. Students were introduced to microcontroller programming, robot design principles, and problem-solving techniques through engaging sessions that covered unmanned robots, fundamentals of robotics, MicroPython programming, design thinking, and maze-solving strategies. The highlight of the event was the challenge session, where participants applied their learning to test their robots in an official maze-solving competition, making the workshop both practical and impactful. The maze challenge was carried out in an innovative way, with a competitive but highly engaging robot battle. A highlight of the event, this robot battle was where participants’ creations went head-to-head in an energetic, competitive, and fun atmosphere, making the workshop both impactful and unforgettable.
