MoraForesight is a journey of inspiration and transformation initiated by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Moratuwa. Designed to empower the younger generation for a technology-driven future, this flagship program has evolved into a premier platform for school students to explore programming, robotics, AI, and entrepreneurship. MoraForesight 3.0 continued this legacy as a Three-Day Fully Funded Residential Boot Camp held on August 8, 9, and 10 at the University of Moratuwa Premises and CEWAS, Rathmalana . Highlights of the memorable Day 01 of MoraForesight 3.0 included: Opening Ceremony Around 80 enthusiastic participants arrived, marking the start of an exciting journey. The morning began with registration and warm welcomes, followed by the Opening Ceremony , where the vision and spirit of MoraForesight 3.0 were unveiled. Icebreaker Session A dynamic and interactive session helped participants connect and build friendships, setting the foundation for teamwork throughout the camp. Technical Sessions Programming Workshop 01 (by IFS) Resource Person - Ms. Shashiprabha Dangalla Focused on app development using Python , this hands-on workshop allowed participants to gain practical experience in programming. Lead Venture Session A motivational segment designed to spark innovative thinking and entrepreneurial spirit , encouraging students to recognize their potential as future leaders. Generative AI Workshop (by GDG): Resource Person - Mr. Suresh Peiris Introduced participants to Google AI Studio and Gemini , offering insights into the world of generative AI and its future applications. Programming Competition Participants tested their new skills in a friendly competition, applying what they learned through problem-solving and collaboration. Evening Bonfire & Socializing The day concluded with a warm and lively music evening , where participants relaxed, bonded, and celebrated the successful start of MoraForesight 3.0. The first day concluded on a high note, setting a strong foundation for the exciting journey that awaited in the days ahead.
