Frontiers in Tech 9.0 - DAY 3
August 22, 2025 · 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM @ Online event
Description
Frontiers in Tech 9.0 concluded on August 22, 2025, with a highly anticipated bonus session dedicated to Building a Web API with ASP.NET. Conducted via Zoom, this final installment attracted strong participation, continuing the enthusiasm sustained across the first two sessions. Unlike the earlier theoretical and practice-focused discussions, this session provided a hands-on, project-oriented experience, allowing participants to directly engage with modern software development practices. The session, led by Mr. Thilina Dhananjaya, explored fundamental and advanced aspects of APIs in a structured manner. Beginning with an introduction to what an API is and its role in today’s interconnected digital ecosystems, the talk progressed into explaining HTTP as the universal language of the web. Mr. Dhananjaya then demonstrated the practical steps of building a Web API project in ASP.NET, guiding attendees through design considerations, implementation details, and best practices. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where participants posed real-world challenges and gained direct insights from the speaker’s professional experience. A highlight of the day was the quiz competition, designed to reinforce learning outcomes and keep engagement levels high. Winners were recognized with certificates, creating a sense of achievement and healthy competition. Overall, with three sessions spread across August, Frontiers in Tech 9.0 emerged as more than just a seminar series—it was a comprehensive learning journey. Participants walked away not only with practical coding skills and exposure to .NET and ASP.NET frameworks, but also with career-oriented insights, best practices for professional growth, and inspiration to explore software engineering more deeply.
